Nope, that’s not a sweet potato fry; that’s an apple fry.

I don’t think I have much to say about this recipe except YUM. It was seriously so simple and delicious. My only question is, “Why have I never heard of these before?”

It’s such a great, easy dessert that’s on the healthier side. Or, you could swap these in for traditional fries with your next burger to keep things fresh and exciting. All you do is slice an apple of your choice (I went with Honey Crisp because they are my favorite), toss in sugar and flour (ratio 1:2), fry in oil at 350 degrees for about four minutes (or until golden brown), and sprinkle with a little salt right as they are done. Let them sit on a paper towel-lined plate for a minute or so to rest.

Next time I want to try them in my air fryer with stevia instead of sugar to make it even healthier. I also thought to myself, “The possibilities with this are endless,” in that you can customize this dish however you want. You can top your fries with sprinkled cinnamon or powdered sugar, dip them in caramel, or eat them with ice cream. Does anyone else love dipping their regular french fries in ice cream? It’s one of my greatest guilty pleasures.

P.S. What fruit should I fry next? Now that I’ve tapped into this new “market” I wanna explore more possibilities, but I need your help to think of what to do next. All I can think of is bananas.
