Summer Strawberry Salad
Pg. 179
Addison, Season 4
4 down…95 to go!

My review is simple. Light. Refreshing. Delicious.
If you’re like me, you get very bored with lame, traditional salads. But, I LOVE a good salad. I never thought I would come to love salads so much, but once you start finding good ones, it changes the game. This is that kind of salad.
The grilled lettuce is amazing! I had never done that before, but now I’m afraid I might never go back. The strawberries made it tart and divine. But the real kicker for me was the fresh oranges. WHY HAVE I NOT BEEN PUTTING ORANGES ON MY SALADS MY WHOLE LIFE?!?! I wish I had been, but one thing is for certain; I will be doing it a lot more in the future.
Lastly, the homemade dressing was phenomenal, yet simple. It started off basic with just olive oil with balsamic vinegar, seasoned with a little salt and pepper; but what made it unique and different was the secret ingredient—Coca-Cola! It was just a dash, but boy was it good!

Can’t wait to have it again soon.
All my love,
Dani, a big tid

My salad must-haves include black beans, salsa, and avocado.
I love nothing more than having avocado in my salad! I’ve realized that if I put avocado and just a spritz of extra virgin olive oil then I don’t really have to put any dressings! Plus, if you have some juicy protein and maybe some sauteed veggies…YUM!
