An Original Recipe by ME 🙂
A part of the Woman EmpowerMint Series
Since March is Woman Empowerment Month, I wanted to create four fun drinks (one per week) and call them the Woman EmpowerMint Beverages. If you don’t know by now, I enjoy a good pun.
First up was this Skinny CBD Virgin Mojito. This one was created specifically to celebrate a new friend of mine as her salon turns one year old. She also recently launched an incredible new service, CBD blowouts, and we wanted to partner together to bring her clients something extra special while they have their blowout. I will henceforth be creating a new monthly CBD mocktail for her to give to her clients to drink while they enjoy the rest of their CBD service. I will be publishing the recipes here so if you’re a fan of CBD and/or mocktails, make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss any!
The CBD in this mocktail is also totally optional, so if you’re not a fan of CBD, you can easily omit it without changing the drink. However, if you’ve never tried CBD, I highly recommend that you look into it. It helps a lot with anxiety, and 1 to 2 milliliters can really start to relax you.
Just when you think this relaxing, non-alcoholic drink couldn’t any get better, it does. It’s considered a “Skinny,” or low-calorie drink, because I used Sprite Zero in it. Now, I know there are arguments that the fake sweeteners in diet or zero sodas are bad for you, so feel free to swap it out for a lemon/lime sparking water if you’d like to make it a little healthier. Other than that, you’re just consuming natural sugars from the blackberries, so this drink has officially been deemed “Guilt Free.”
Side note: I think all foods/drinks should be considered “Guilt Free.” You shouldn’t have to use shame or guilt to keep you away from foods/drinks you enjoy. There is a whole big discussion there about having a healthy relationship with food, but that’s for another time. I will just briefly say that I believe you should be able to enjoy whatever it is that you like, but moderation is a key factor in staying healthy. Thankfully, with this drink, you won’t have to moderate much!
Now, if you’re like me, you’re thinking “Okay mocktails are great and all, but sometimes there needs to be alcohol added to them.” You can easily turn this mocktail into a cocktail by simply adding a shot…or two…or three of rum, depending on what mood you’re in I guess. Either way, you do you, boo.
Below you will find a recipe card that you can print out, pin to Pinterest, or save directly to your device. Let me know if you end up making it by tagging me on social media!
I can’t wait to introduce my other minty drinks coming up very soon! Cheers to all my ladies out there; these are for y’all!
All my love,
Dani, a big tid
